Project Management
As a company we've managed several projects since our beginning in 1993. These projects include prototype development in areas ranging from Foreign Missile Exploitation, electro-mechanical systems, RF / IR projects, to Fiber Optic Gyro (FOG) navigation systems. Over the years we have consistently shown our sponsors responsible fiscal and project management.
Electronic Engineering
Scion Systems has been designing electronic systems throughout the life span of the company and this provides most of our bread and butter. We have design capabilities and experience in:

Software Development
Scion Systems develops both assembly language and high level languages for our projects. We continue work with software using MC68K and MicroChip PIC processors for lower level real-time software development. We also employ LabView, Visual Basic , C, for higher level software solutions.
Simulation
We are often called upon to provide some validation of a given system design. This often requires some forms of simulation. We usually employ MatLab / Simulink for this purpose.
Printed Circuit Board Design
All our circuit board designs and PCB layouts are created in-house and as an outside service. From a schematic we can develop multi-layer circuit boards using surface mount or mixed parts. Scion Systems works with several board manufactures to provide an excellent final product.
Circuit Board Assembly
Scion Systems provides circuit boards assembly in small to moderate lot sizes. We assemble surface mount and mixed part boards usually for prototype or low-volume production.
Electronic Packaging
Scion Systems produces complete system assemblies. These range from the simple prototype test units to captive carry missile modifications. We have the experience in what works and doesn't when it comes to electronic packaging..
Support Services
Scion Systems is often called on to support a given program by providing test or consulting efforts. Success or failure of an effort depends on how carefully a project is monitored throughout its life. By watching and providing support when necessary, we help improve the odds of project success.
Other Engineering Services
To meet our customers and our own project goals we rely on a confederated group of professionals. These people have unique capabilities in areas such as optical, mechanical, design and fabrication.
